Veneers are thin, custom-made shells that are bonded to the front of your teeth. Typically created from high-quality porcelain, veneers are tooth colored and are used to improve the appearance of your teeth. Dr. Nader and Dr. Resek may recommend dental veneers in Oakmont, Pennsylvania, to fix the following cosmetic dental problems:
- Discolored teeth
- Worn teeth
- Chipped or broken teeth
- Misaligned teeth
- Misshapen teeth
- Gaps between teeth
To prepare for a veneer, our dentists will remove a small amount of enamel from the tooth. This will allow room for the veneer to fit in your mouth. Then our dentists will make an impression of the tooth. This is used to construct the veneer. At Oakmont Family Dentists, we use CEREC® one-visit restoration technology, so we are often able to make your veneer during your visit. Our dentists will test the veneer in your mouth for size, shape, and color and make any necessary adjustments. We then use a special cement and light to bond the veneer to your tooth. The light activates the chemicals in the cement, helping it to cure quickly. In just a couple of visits to our office, you can achieve a more beautiful, flawless smile!
We welcome you to call Oakmont Family Dentists today for more information about veneers and to set up a consultation.
