There are a lot of different reasons why you might seek a new dentist. Maybe you’ve moved recently, or you’d like a change of venue. Perhaps you are one of the millions of Americans suffering from dental anxiety or dental phobia and you’ve been putting off your regular checkups.

Regardless of the reason you’re switching to our office, we are happy to have you and want you to know that we are passionate about providing you with high quality dental care.

There are a few things you can do to help the process go smoothly.

First you should contact your old dentist and request that they send your dental records to our office. This is a standard professional procedure that helps us stay informed on what services you’ve had in the past.

We will usually call you in advance to confirm the date and time of your appointment. If anything changes with your schedule, please call us as soon as possible so we can reschedule.

It is a good idea to arrive early for your first appointment. We might have surveys for you to fill out to get a better idea of your medical history. These surveys help us get a better idea of how to serve you and to also look out for factors that might contribute to conditions like gum disease, oral cancer, teeth staining or other concerns.

Let us know about any current dental problems you might have, such as pain in a particular tooth, a lost filling or discomfort in the gums.

If you have any questions or would like to schedule an appointment please feel free to call us at 412-828-3311. We look forward to seeing you!
